Mostra de València extends the call for entries for the first edition dedicated to musical projects Meet the Composer

• The first edition of València Film Afers: Meet the Composer is dedicated to the presentation of musical composition projects for audiovisual media.

• The deadline for registration is July 20th at 11:59 PM.

• Selected projects will be invited to participate in València Film Afers during the forum (November 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2026).

València Film Afers is the co-production forum of the Mostra de València, fostering alliances among members of the audiovisual industry in Mediterranean countries. It positions València as a hub and platform to support high-quality projects and diverse, auteur-driven cinema specific to the countries of the Mediterranean basin.

This year, the event expands the professional presence with the first edition of València Film Afers: Meet the Composer, in collaboration with the SGAE Foundation. In this way, Mostra de València is pioneering the incorporation of film music as a fundamental part of a co-production forum. Through this new line of work, the festival fosters encounters between composers and filmmakers from Mediterranean countries, promoting new opportunities for artistic and professional collaboration.

Among other requirements, applicants must upload a playlist with the various tracks numbered and labeled on the registration form, with each track a maximum size of 2 MB. A maximum of 10 tracks is recommended. They must also include biographies, an explanation of the submitted playlist, and the option to attach a link to a sequence from a film project.
