A Window into Valencian Cinema.
Finestra is one of the largest showcases of contemporary Valencian cinema.
Featuring Valencian films in the Official Selection—such as Xaloc and La Cabina—as well as more than a dozen works nominated for the Valencian Audiovisual Awards, the Lola Gaos Awards, Finestra is the venue that brings the latest productions from the Valencian Community to the public, presented by their production teams.
In addition, the films nominated in the categories of Best Fiction Feature Film, Best Documentary Feature Film, and Best Animated Feature Film; Best Director; Best Screenplay; and Youth Jury Best Feature Film, along with the Short Films nominated in the three categories, will compete for two special awards for Valencian cinema, granted with the support of the audiovisual rights management organization DAMA.
The DAMA-Finestra Award for Best Valencian Feature Film, worth €3,000, and the DAMA-Finestra Award for Best Valencian Short Film, worth €1,500. A jury composed of industry professionals, film critics, and audiovisual artists from Madrid, Basque Country, and Catalonia will be responsible for selecting the outstanding works deserving of these awards.
Because Finestra is more than just movies, it’s also an industry.
La Mostra de València – Cinema del Mediterrani maintains its commitment to creating a meeting point for all those of us who make possible an industry that is growing and consolidating with its own identity.
A space created with the intention of strengthening our professional networks, offering spaces for interaction among industry professionals, increasing access to our productions, and reinforcing relationships among all entities, companies, associations, collectives, and professionals in the Valencian audiovisual sector.
A gathering of the Valencian audiovisual industry where we will collect the sector’s concerns and needs for future editions of Finestra, and where we will also present the various growth proposals.
We welcome you to this FINESTRA, which we leave wide open.
