Mostra de València opens the call for entries for the 41st edition

-Feature films and medium-length films produced or co-produced from January 1st 2025 by countries in the Mediterranean environment can be registered until June 30th.

-The festival brings back Mostreta, with screenings open to schools and complementary activities.

Mostra de València-Cinema del Mediterrani opens the submission period for its 41st edition, which will be held from November 3rd to November 15th 2026. Companies and individuals interested in participating in any of the competitive sections of feature films and medium-length films may register via Festhome or Filmfreeway platforms until 11:59 p.m. on June 30th, 2026.

Awards with economic endowment

The Golden and Silver Palm Trees of the Official Section maintain their endowment of 30,000 and 20,000 euros for production respectively, as well as the amount of €15,000, destined for the distribution in Spain of the Golden Palm Tree.

The winning medium-length film of La Cabina will receive €5,000, and another €5,000 will be added for distribution in Spain. Ciutat de València Audience Award for Xaloc competition has an endowment of € 10,000 for the distribution in Spain of the winning film.

Eligibility Requirements

Mostra de València-Cinema del Mediterrani maintains its commitment of being a meeting point and a model for cinematography in Mediterranean geographical and cultural area. Feature films (more than 60 minutes) and medium-length films (between 30 and 59 minutes) may participate.

Films participating in the Official Section and in La Cabina must have been produced from January 1st, 2025 and may not have been premiered in theatres, on television or on platforms accessible from Spanish territory, nor have been previously screened at other festivals or events in Spain, both in competition or out of competition.

Films participating in Xaloc must have been produced from January 1st, 2025 and must not have been premiered in theatres, on television or on platforms accessible from Spanish territory, nor have been previously screened at other festivals or events in Spain, both in competition or out of competition.
