ROUND TABLE: “PARITY: A POSSIBLE CHALLENGE?”

Created in 2006, CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media) is a professional association whose objectives are to promote an equal presence of women filmmakers and professionals in the audiovisual sector, contributing to a balanced and realistic representation of women within the contents offered by the medium.

CIMA and Mostra de València-Cinema del Mediterrani are collaborating for the first time through a round table that aims to question the level of real equality that has been reached in the cultural industry: whether the policies currently implemented by the public administration or private entities are enough, whether film festivals have a gender perspective that promotes parity from the base and whether stereotypes in the audiovisual industry have taken a turn towards equality.

With the participation of:

  • Cristina Andreu (President of CIMA)
  • Silvia Marsó (actress and producer).

Moderator: Rosa Roig (Technical Director of the Mostra de València)

Venue and schedule
  • Wednesday 20. Cines Babel Sala 5. 18h.
