CONFESSION

Kneeling in front of a donkey, Marina Abramović seems to convey to the animal her painful childhood memories, which appear as text on the screen. The donkey, barely moving its head and legs, stares at her, as if understanding her suffering. In this autobiographical performance, the artist shifts attention from the physical to the psychological spheres.
