Señoras y señoras

Señoras y señoras
Show · 90 min

Señoras y señoras is a feminist pop show, a theatrical spectacle created and hosted by María Guerra and Mariola Cubells, journalists specialising in audiovisual media. With a light touch and a great sense of humour, the show focuses on women born during the 1960s, a unique generation in the history of this country, who have torn down much of what society designed for them. Señoras y señoras originates from Mariola Cubells's book 'Mejor que nunca. Felices, imbatibles, pioneras'. The show combines personal experiences, reflections and anecdotes with various audiovisual support and plenty of humour. The piece interacts with the audience, reflects on matters of great importance in a light-hearted way, and covers topics such as the audiovisual swindle (how cinema and television have treated, mistreated and portrayed women for decades), different maternities and non-maternities, chosen solitude, the male gazes that have shaped the world, and how these women, owners of their destiny as never before, have redefined the concepts of age and life. Through their personal stories and the bond between the two friends, the show reveals the intimate and social transformation of a generation that has been little discussed, showing the impact it has had on women and celebrating its revolutionary role in recent history.
