Yoyes

Yoyes, the first woman to hold a position of responsibility within ETA, returns from exile in Mexico, attempting to rebuild her life. But her return is not easy. She has evolved: she has earned a university degree, worked at the UN, and become a mother. Meanwhile, back in her homeland, violence remains the dominant theme on the front pages of the newspapers. Yoyes has tried to forget and to be forgotten, but her years away have only served to turn her into a myth. Her former comrades-in-arms will view her return as an act of betrayal. She loves her homeland and longs to become one with its landscape, but autumn will bring with it something more than just dead leaves.
