Can art be a weapon?

Equipo Crónica (Spain 1964-1981) was a group of visual artists who created their works collaboratively. Their proposals, fierce critiques of Franco's dictatorship, represented an aesthetic, political and cultural revolution.

Manolo Valdés is the last surviving member of the group. From New York, where he has lived and worked for more than 40 years, he recalls how, through Pop Art, they achieved a committed and militant form of trench art.
