In 2021 she wrote and directed Amygdala, her first short film, through <em>Merricat<\/em>, a new production company. She recently completed her second film, <em>7Hz,<\/em> and is in development on her third, <em>Starflyer<\/em>, as well as her first feature film, <em>Stringa<\/em>, co-written with Alexandra Matheou. Her works use moving images, text, performance, and painting. In 2022 she directed the short film <em>The Disaster Cannot Be Contained<\/em>, awarded in Beirut. In 2023 she received the IFFR RTM Pitch award for producing her next film. She grew up on film sets, where she fell in love with the creation of imaginary universes and their political aspect. Her career is characterised by the reconciliation of these two worlds. After working as a camera assistant on several films, she studied documentary filmmaking at the prestigious French <em>La F\u00e9mis<\/em> school and directed <em>Bent Eddar\/Sweet Home<\/em> (2009), <em>Y aura-t-il un printemps pour les femmes<\/em>? (2011) and <em>Tunisie, m\u00e9moire juive<\/em> (2016). She is currently preparing her new work, an audiovisual diary in which she intends to explore personal memories and political and historical archives. With the short film <em>Exlibris <\/em>(2009), she received a nomination at the 25th edition of the Goya Awards and with <em>\u00bfD\u00f3nde estabas t\u00fa?<\/em> (2019) she won the award for the best project against male violence awarded by the Val\u00e8ncia City Council. She then made several reports on migration for RAI 2, and in 2008 she directed the non-profit <em>documentary Sei Uno Nero in Malawi<\/em>. In 2010 she wrote, directed and produced in India her first feature-length documentary, <em>Letters from the Desert (Eulogy to Slowness)<\/em>, which screened at 80 international festivals.
